Ritual Cat

When the spiritual teacher and his disciples began their evening meditation, the cat who lived in the monastery made such noise that it distracted them. So the teacher ordered that the cat be tied up during the evening practice. Years later, when the teacher died, the cat continued to be tied up during the meditation session. And when the cat eventually died, another cat was brought to the monastery and tied up. Centuries later, learned descendants of the spiritual teacher wrote scholarly treatises about the religious significance of tying up a cat for meditation practice. - Zen story

I
t is amazing that most of us are obsessed with habits. We become slaves at one point to our own habits. We don't dare to question any custom or ritual.Reasoning is not a agreeable character in our society. But have we ever thought, how it may affect us? Blindly following something doesn't helps us in any way. We don't think about what we are doing. we just do it because it's always been done that way, or because everyone else is doing it. I think a lot of us live our whole lives like this. We do this and that, over and over again, without really thinking about the significance or meaning of it. So when we stop and think, we will understand ourself, our mind wont be tied up like the cat.

NSG delayed? in Mumbai attack a repetitive mistake!

Yesterday i watched this malayalam film 'Mission 90 days'.
This film was almost like a documentary about Rajiv Gandhi assassination - specifically the NSG operation after the assassination to capture the LTTE terrorist.
The shocking truth that forms the central theme of the film is this - The NSG commandos are delayed due to bureaucratic irresponsibility . The commandos plead to go in first to capture the terrorists alive, but this was not allowed by the politicians and higher officials.
So Sivarasan the main brain behind the assassination shoots himself and 7 others in his group consume poison before even the operation begun.
The police then were unaware of how to react to terror attacks... only NSG could fight against such terrorists.
This almost is so similar to the events of the mumbai attack just few days back.
Same mistake has been done.
The NSG commandos were delayed for 2 hrs. And so many policemen lost their life due to lack of information and low self defense.
When will our country learn?

Who r u?

Find yourself and be yourself:
Remember there is no one else on earth like you.
Study your personality and find out what you are?
Study your positives and negatives.
Reach out to make friends.
Don't pretend to be what you are not.

Mumbai terror attack

The recent mumbai terror attack has been followed keenly by all Indians for the past few days.
We all were so shocked to see our economic capital burn right in front of our eyes.
The enemies were just teens! After following all that has happened , one can't help about the hundreds of questions that raises in mind.
How can this happen?
Where are our politicians?
Why were the police so less equipped?
What happened to India's security?
Is India safe any more?

Today Cnn Ibn a news channel telecasted a report 'operation sea rats'
a wonderful journalistic effort i must say, it clearly, boldly brought out the pathetic, helpless state of our harbor security.
Frankly speaking we all have lost hope in our politicians, thats a fact.
After this attack every common man agrees to it.
Some say we must boycott elections, some feel we must not pay taxes, instead we must pay our taxes to our army.
But loosing hope is not the end, we must think some way to clear our issues after all its our country and we have to survive some how here.
Terror attacks and political indifference are the repetitive mistakes of India.
It is high time we must take active steps. The only thing we can do is to elect a right politician.
Apart from all this ... When the NSG men reacted so humbly and simply to the praises of the media and public. one fact keeps haunting me, ' why didn't  the media, people react this much when some terror attacks happen in Kashmir?'
